What is Entry Level Driver Training?
• Starting in February of 2022, per the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations, entry level drivers are required to take commercial driver’s license (CDL) skills or knowledge test.
• The state will then verify that the driver has successfully completed the required training course by a registered training provider.
• The training provided is for candidates applying for a Class A or Class B CDL (for the first time), or upgrading from a Class B status to Class A inclusive of the following endorsements:
School Bus (S)
Passenger (P)
What are the requirements?
Entry- level drivers must select a training provider that is listed on the Training Provider Registry.
Only registered training providers will be able to submit certification of a driver's completion of entry-level driver training to the Training Provider Registry.
When am I eligible to take my CDL skills or knowledge Test?
Training must be completed before taking a CDL skills test.
Cost?
CDL Class B (w/ Passenger Endorsement): $2,250
Passenger Endorsement: $1,750
3-day RUSH Course: $2,500
